The Author

Mary Wright is a retired classroom and music teacher, certified in Music, Speech Therapy and Special Education. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

She has previously written 2 books on family history; an accordion instructional series; a biography, “Bobbi, Father of the Finnish White-Tail Deer,” with an accompanying Christmas story of how “Bobbi Saves Christmas.” She has a reading, writing, spelling program planned for beginning and 2nd language learners.

Wright was raised in Bruce, Wisconsin, a Minnesotan for 30 years, a Texan since 1990 in the Dallas area. She is the mother of 5 children and grandmother of currently 18 children.

She is the manager and accordionist of the family band, “The Fiddle Rascals,” which includes 4 generations of musicians playing Texas Swing with a Bluegrass sound, and a lifetime church organist with an endearing love for hymns.

She is also a holder of the philosophy that ‘music not only makes the world go round’ but it facilitates overall learning and personality development; that everyone should have access to learning to play instruments, regardless of economic status, general opportunities or inherent skills.
